Candidate Safety

Pause and verify before you share or pay

Recruitment scams can imitate real organisations and real job sites. Use these checks whenever a request, message, or opportunity feels unusual.

Check the opportunity

  • Compare the company name, domain, and role with the organisation's own public channels.
  • Be cautious when a sender creates urgency or moves the process to an unrelated personal account.
  • Do not pay a recruiter or employer to apply, interview, release an offer, or buy required equipment.

Protect account access

  • Never share a password, one-time code, recovery link, or authentication token.
  • Open VHire directly rather than signing in through an unexpected message link.
  • Use your VHire dashboard or message inbox to cross-check activity available to your account.

Limit sensitive information

Share only what is reasonably needed for the hiring stage. Treat requests for bank details, government identity documents, or other high-risk information with extra care and verify the recipient through a separate channel.

Read the Privacy Policy

Before an assessment

Read the setup instructions and browser permission prompts before starting. If the requested camera, microphone, screen, or identity step is unclear, stop and ask the hiring organisation or VHire support for context before proceeding.
