Technical Lead / Architect – Snowflake & Cortex AI
Role Overview: We are looking for a Strong Technical Lead / Architect with extensive expertise in Snowflake and Snowflake Cortex AI. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, guide the development team, design scalable data solutions, and drive best practices around data modelling and Snowflake architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the technical team in planning, designing, and delivering Snowflake-based data solutions.
- Own technical decisions related to Snowflake architecture, data modelling, performance, and optimization.
- Provide technical guidance, task allocation, and support to team members.
- Review technical solutions, code, and implementation approaches to ensure quality and scalability.
- Design and implement efficient data models using: Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault.
- Perform performance tuning and query optimization in Snowflake.
- Analyze query performance and identify opportunities to improve warehouse utilization, execution time, and overall solution efficiency.
- Work with Snowflake Cortex AI and understand its capabilities and application within enterprise data and AI solutions.
- Design and work with Snowflake Native Apps and understand their architecture, development, and deployment considerations.
- Evaluate Snowflake native capabilities and recommend appropriate solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Conduct technical discussions, solution reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions with the team.
- Identify technical risks and proactively drive resolution.
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
Requirements
- Technical Skills:
- Snowflake: Strong hands-on expertise – Mandatory
- Snowflake Cortex AI: Strong knowledge / hands-on exposure – Mandatory
- Data Modelling: Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault
- Performance Tuning: Strong experience in Snowflake performance optimization
- Query Optimization: Strong hands-on experience
- Snowflake Native Apps: Good understanding / hands-on experience
- Technical Leadership: Ability to guide and mentor technical teams
- Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Strong technical leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle and guide team tasks effectively.
- Strong mentoring and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
