Software Development Engineer Spark SQL, Scala, Python Programming
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer with expertise in Spark SQL, Scala, and Python programming to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This full-time position requires a professional with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Spark SQL, Scala, Python programming, and DBT, Snowflake development. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance code as needed.
- Create rules for data mapping, transformation, and enrichment to meet requirements.
- Perform informal testing of the rules and unit tests.
- Recommend, review, and execute improvements.
- Participate in peer review of deliverables such as code, designs, and test plans.
- Create technical/functional documentation as needed.
- Assist with the design and development of software solutions requiring general domain knowledge and limited business experience.
- Work at all layers of the application stack, including front-end user interface and backend development.
- Troubleshoot code issues and evolve platforms to meet user requirements and needs.
- Participate in the review of functional specifications and other validation deliverables as assigned.
- Develop an introductory understanding of industry and quality standards.
- Support development projects based on specific instructions and with limited discretion.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s degree in a relevant field.
- 3-4 years of experience in Spark, Scala, Python programming, and DBT, Snowflake development.
- Strong knowledge and experience of SQL (Hive, Postgres, HWC tables).
- Experience with on-premises environments – Cloudera and Cloud AWS and Azure.
- Experience with Airflow.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Good to have experience with Clinical data, Agile and Lean SDLC process, Java, and batch scripts.
Work Arrangements
- Hybrid work mode – 2 to 3 days in the office.
- General Shift (Day Shift).
- Location – Bangalore.
