Senior Risk Analyst (Market Risk / Counterparty Credit Risk)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Analyst with 8?12 years of expertise in Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk management within global financial markets environments. The ideal candidate will lead risk monitoring and control initiatives, deliver advanced risk analytics, and drive strategic risk mitigation programs. This role requires deep knowledge of trading products, strong technical analytics capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders across front office, risk, finance, and technology functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead market risk and counterparty credit risk monitoring across complex trading portfolios.
  • Design and enhance enterprise risk control frameworks, risk metrics, and governance processes.
  • Perform advanced risk analytics including VaR modeling, stress testing, scenario analysis, and exposure management.
  • Develop automated risk reporting solutions and dashboards using Python, SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
  • Partner with trading desks, senior risk managers, and technology teams on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze emerging market trends, risk concentrations, and portfolio vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee investigation and resolution of risk limit breaches and control exceptions.
  • Support regulatory compliance, audit activities, and risk governance initiatives.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process optimization and automation programs.
  • Present risk insights, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 8?12 years of experience in Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, or quantitative risk analytics.
  • Strong expertise in risk methodologies including VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, and exposure management.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading products, and counterparty risk concepts.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing risk controls within trading environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise risk systems and large-scale risk data environments.
