Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) and PLSQL Developer with 8-10 years of hands-on experience managing Oracle database environments end-to-end. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, performance optimization, security, backup & recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, database upgrades, and production support of Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments and Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL/PLSQL database solutions, including data modeling, ETL, migration, and application integration, while collaborating with development teams to enhance scalability, maintainability, code quality, and database standards.
Oracle Database Administration
- Manage end-to-end Oracle database operations including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Administer Oracle 12c/19c/21c databases across Production, UAT, Development, and DR environments.
- Execute database cloning, refresh, migration, and deployment activities ensuring high availability and reliability.
Database Development & Engineering
- Design, develop, and optimise complex SQL, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and database-driven application components.
- Support data modelling, schema design, ETL processes, data migration activities, and application database integration.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve scalability, maintainability, code quality, and database development standards.
High Availability, Backup & Recovery
- Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Design, implement, and validate RMAN backup and recovery strategies, including point-in-time recovery.
- Develop, test, and maintain failover, switchover, and disaster recovery procedures to meet availability SLAs.
Performance Tuning & Database Optimization
- Monitor database health and proactively identify performance bottlenecks using OEM, AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports.
- Perform SQL tuning, query optimization, indexing improvements, and execution plan analysis.
- Optimize database storage, memory, and configuration parameters to maximize system performance and scalability.
Security, Automation & Monitoring
- Implement database security standards, user access controls, auditing, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Develop Shell, PL/SQL, and automation scripts to streamline routine DBA operations and maintenance tasks.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and forecasting processes to ensure proactive database management
Production Support & Technical Leadership
- Provide L2/L3 production support, incident management, RCA, and resolution for critical business applications.
- Lead database upgrades, cloud migration initiatives (AWS/Azure), and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams while maintaining documentation, SOPs, and governance standards.

- Oracle Technologies: Oracle 12c/19c/21c, RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, OEM/Grid Control.
- Performance & Automation: SQL, PL/SQL, AWR, ASH, ADDM, Shell Scripting, Query Optimization.
