Senior Compliance Risk Analyst (ICRM Surveillance)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Risk Analyst with 8?12 years of expertise in ICRM Surveillance and regulatory compliance within financial services organizations. The successful candidate will lead the surveillance strategy, oversee the implementation and optimization of surveillance systems, and drive proactive detection of regulatory and policy violations across trade and electronic communication channels. This role requires deep expertise in financial products, surveillance technologies such as SMARTS, and strong stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design, implementation, and enhancement of surveillance frameworks across trade and e-communications monitoring.
  • Oversee surveillance investigations related to market abuse, insider trading, manipulation, and regulatory violations.
  • Drive strategic improvements in surveillance models, alert calibration, and operational controls.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, technology, audit, and business teams on regulatory initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and surveillance teams.
  • Ensure alignment of surveillance programs with global regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Lead risk assessments and gap analysis for surveillance processes and controls.
  • Manage regulatory inquiries, audits, and reporting related to surveillance operations.
  • Support technology transformation initiatives and implementation of advanced surveillance capabilities.
  • Prepare and present compliance risk insights and metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  • 8?12 years of experience in compliance surveillance, trade surveillance, or compliance risk functions.
  • Deep expertise in SMARTS or enterprise surveillance platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading products, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing complex surveillance investigations and compliance risks.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and surveillance optimization.
  • Understanding of market conduct regulations and global compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
