Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer to join our technology team supporting enterprise banking platforms for Citibank. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable machine learning solutions and AI-driven applications within secure and regulated banking environments. This role demands strong expertise in machine learning model development, MLOps, cloud platforms, and production-grade AI systems, with a focus on performance, scalability, governance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions for banking and financial applications.
- Develop scalable data pipelines and production-ready ML workflows.
- Work closely with data scientists, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to operationalize AI solutions.
- Implement MLOps best practices including CI/CD, model monitoring, versioning, and automated retraining.
- Optimize model performance, scalability, and reliability in enterprise environments.
- Ensure AI/ML solutions comply with security, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Build APIs and microservices for integrating AI capabilities into enterprise platforms.
- Support cloud-native AI deployments across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in AI/ML Engineering or related software engineering roles.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience in deploying ML models into production environments.
- Strong understanding of MLOps tools and practices (MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Good understanding of data engineering concepts and distributed data processing.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
