Process and Product Quality Engineer

Review project related process documents, coach and mentor teams, and help define metrics in compliance with EDP. Utilize KPIs to assess trends and provide risk assessment. Aggregate KPI data for detailed metric analysis and feedback to project and process teams. Support global/regional Process lead(s) to manage standardized methods, processes, and in the design and development of new solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project related process documents including strategies, methods and procedures to ensure adequacy and compliance to EDP
• Review project processes and work products against defined quality criteria and assess quality of event
• Coach and mentor team in adherence to ASPICE and EDP expectations
• Help define common and project specific lagging and leading metrics in compliance with EDP
• Help Electronics PMs with implementation of proper release process in NA projects
• Help project teams conduct product/process related ?Root cause analysis? activities
• Utilize lagging KPIs to assess long term trends, as well as impact of process and methods improvements
• Utilize leading KPIs and provide risk assessment for use within project escalation process
• Aggregate KPI data for detailed metric analysis and feedback to project and process teams
• Support global/regional Process lead(s) to manage standardized methods, processes, and in design and development of new solutions
• Help create and standardize project status report cards and help deploy into NA projects
• Help oversee EDP training along with EDP owner
• Help support OEM specific and JSS called ASPICE certification assessments and IATF audits
• Developing and implementing quality standards
• Developing and implementing quality control systems
• Monitoring and analyzing quality performance
• Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
• Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements
• Ensuring workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations
• Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues
• Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
• Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or any other Automotive related disciplines)
• Minimum 6 years of Software Quality/Process Development experience
• Minimum 2 years of Automotive Software Development experience
• Working knowledge of Automotive SPICE ISO 15504, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (Automotive SPICE Provisional Assessor certification is preferred)
• Strong process Audit / Assessment experience
• Strong negotiation, communication and inter-personal skills
• Must be willing to work in diversified/cross-regional teams
• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
• Working knowledge of a few Problem-Solving Tools such as 5-Why, Ishikawa Diagram, 8D
• Working knowledge of Tools such as JIRA, DOORS, MS Project and some Configuration Management Tools
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Working knowledge of Six-Sigma tools would be preferred
• Working knowledge of Agile/Auto Scrum environment and related tools
