Piping Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Piping Design Engineer to join our team at L&T Technologies, under the payroll of Cadmaxx Solutions. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas and/or Chemical sector, with a strong background in 3D modeling and piping design. This is a contract position based in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Lead/Area Lead to plan piping based on P&ID and ensure clash-free routing in a 3D model.
• Extract piping deliverables from the 3D model, including Piping Isometrics, Piping GA drawings, Pipe Support drawings, and Piping BOQ (MTO).
• Update the 3D model based on Equipment Vendor drawings and provide comments on the drawings concerning piping requirements.
• Resolve model review tags and prepare 3D model snapshots with required mark-ups for quick discussion and resolution of engineering issues.

Requirements

• Required Skills:
• Hands-on experience in modeling of piping and equipment in a 3D model.
• Proficient in extracting deliverables from a 3D model.
• Experience with 3D model navigation in Navisworks and clash resolution procedures based on clash reports.
• Good understanding of P&IDs, equipment data sheets, vendor drawings, and piping layout fundamentals.
• Ability to read Piping Material Specifications (PMS) and understand branching tables, pipe supports, nozzle orientation principles, and maintenance requirements of inline piping components.
• Experience with tie-in packages and interfaces with Piping Stress Analysis groups.
• Good to Have Skills:
• Experience working with laser scan inputs and coordination with the stress group.
• Competency in AutoCAD and exposure to Brownfield/Turnaround/MOC projects.
• Awareness of piping material engineering basics.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Paint.
