Mainframe Developer
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to develop, enhance, test, and support mainframe applications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mainframe systems and technologies, with expertise in batch and online systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and ensure coding and delivery standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, and support mainframe applications
- Work on batch and online systems using mainframe technologies
- Analyse issues, perform debugging, and provide production support
- Lead technical design, code reviews, and development activities
- Mentor team members and ensure coding and delivery standards are followed
- Collaborate with business, QA, architects, and project teams
- Prepare technical documentation and support release activities
Requirements
- Technical Skills: Mainframe Systems, Mainframe DB, DB2, COBOL, JCL
- Experience: 10+ years in IT, 8+ years in development, with practical experience in 2 coding languages or advanced practice in 1 language
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
