Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer with 4 to 10 years of experience to join our team in Bangalore/Mysore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing analog and digital circuits, high-speed board design, and working with microcontrollers and FPGAs. This role involves developing hardware for medical products in compliance with ISO13485 and other relevant medical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware and system requirements, hardware architecture, and hardware design for medical products.
• Hands-on design experience with processors and microcontrollers, specifically the iMX8 series.
• Develop hardware for communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN, and UART, including motor drivers, sensors, and displays.
• Perform design calculations, power calculations, and impedance calculations using hardware tools.
• Create hardware schematics and bills of materials; coordinate with PCB engineers for placement, pin-mapping, and layout.
• Coordinate with suppliers for prototype development and board bring-up activities.
• Develop board-level protocols and conduct testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
• Ensure compliance with medical hardware regulations and maintain good documentation practices, including IEC 60601-1 testing and DFMEA.

Requirements

• 4 to 10 years of experience in hardware design.
• Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with high-speed board design and PCB design/simulations.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC design.
• Experience in medical device development is a plus.
• Education: Any degree.
