Design Engineer (Electrical Wiring Harness, Capital XC)
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with expertise in electrical wiring harness development to join our team at HCL Technologies, contracted through Cadmaxx Solutions Pvt Ltd. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field and involves taking on technical, quality-related, and scheduling responsibilities for components within development projects. The successful candidate will coordinate internal and external interfaces, ensure compliance with all requirements, and accompany the entire product development process up to series production.
Key Responsibilities
- Wiring harness package 3D design and spatial integration.
- Wiring harness design in 2D and ensuring electrical functionality.
- 3D design of control unit/bracket packages and their spatial integration.
- Preparation of technical documents, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Comparison, reconciliation, and evaluation of SYS plans, lists, components, and test results.
- Creation and review of PDM sheets and modularization of wiring harnesses.
- Evaluation of changes to electrical connections according to SYS plans.
- Dimensioning of wire cross-sections, contacts, and cable lugs.
- Data publication and packaging space analyses.
- Act as the central interface between OEM and suppliers.
- Participate in coordination meetings, including moderation and organization.
- Manage wiring harness changes, including evaluation and approvals.
- Execute and document product approvals in accordance with the AUDI product development process.
- Conduct risk and problem analyses and specify testing and verification scopes.
- Coordinate with EMC and networking departments.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years in wiring harness development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Catia V5, Capital XC, and Connect for packaging space analysis.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong electrical and technical understanding.
- Software: Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Soft Skills: Reliable, independent, and structured work ethic with good communication skills.
- Education: Any degree.
