Civil and Structural Senior Engineer
The Senior Civil and Structural Engineer will lead and execute structural engineering tasks for brownfield projects in the petrochemical and oil & gas sectors. This role involves feasibility studies, design modifications, structural integrity assessments, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and compliant solutions tailored to existing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute structural engineering tasks for brownfield projects in the petrochemical and oil & gas sectors.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design modifications.
- Perform structural integrity assessments and ensure compliance with international codes and standards (Eurocodes, AISC, ASCE, API, PIP, etc.).
- Design and detail process/non-process buildings, machine/equipment foundations, pipe racks, pile foundations, and connection designs.
- Utilize structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, IDEA StatiCa, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, etc.) for design and analysis.
- Evaluate existing structures for load capacity, corrosion, and retrofitting needs.
- Coordinate with disciplines like piping, instrumentation, and electrical to align structural needs.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection summaries, and design justifications.
- Review and approve drawings, calculations, and vendor documents.
- Resolve construction feedback and RFI related issues for issued deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s or Master?s in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 7 - 13 years of experience in the Petrochemical/Chemical/Oil & Gas domain.
- Strong understanding of international codes and standards (Eurocodes, AISC, ASCE, Singapore codes, API, PIP, etc.).
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, IDEA StatiCa, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, etc.).
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
