Java Backend Developer
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in backend application development, REST APIs, and Java-based technologies. The candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, integrating, and maintaining scalable backend applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java backend applications
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
- Implement and maintain microservices-based applications
- Configure and integrate APIs through API Gateway
- Troubleshoot application and API integration issues
- Work with databases and optimize SQL queries when required
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, architects, and other stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed
- Support application deployment, monitoring, and production issue resolution
- Contribute to performance improvement and application scalability
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in Java backend development
- BTech in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Axway API Gateway or similar API Gateway technologies
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to messaging technologies such as Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
Good to Have
- Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot
- Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs
- Good understanding of Microservices architecture
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with API Gateway concepts and integrations
- Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, authentication and authorization
- Experience with Git and version control
- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Java fundamentals

- Location: Hybrid (Bangalore)

- Remote/On-site: Hybrid work model with periodic office presence as required
