Associate Product Manager – B2B SaaS / Enterprise Platforms

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager who can take ownership of product problems from discovery through specification, development, validation, and release.

This role is ideal for someone who understands enterprise software not just from a product perspective, but from direct exposure to customers, users, support workflows, and real-world operational problems. You will work closely with engineering, customers, customer success, and leadership to identify problems, define requirements, prioritise work, and help deliver meaningful improvements to a B2B SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate is comfortable getting into the details of an existing product, understanding complex workflows, translating ambiguous problems into clear requirements, and working closely with engineering teams throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own product requirements from problem discovery through specification, development, UAT, and release.
  • Write clear PRDs, functional specifications, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and edge cases.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements and support sprint execution.
  • Analyse existing product workflows, identify gaps, and translate findings into actionable product improvements.
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder conversations to understand user pain points and operational challenges.
  • Convert recurring customer feedback, support issues, and workflow failures into structured product requirements.
  • Prioritise enhancements, defects, and feature requests based on user impact, business value, and implementation complexity.
  • Support backlog grooming and sprint planning alongside Product and Engineering teams.
  • Perform competitive and gap analysis to identify missing capabilities and improvement opportunities.
  • Validate product releases through UAT and ensure requirements have been implemented correctly.
  • Design workflows, user journeys, and low-to-medium fidelity product solutions where required.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Support teams to improve product adoption and reduce recurring issues.
  • Support enterprise customers during pilots, feature rollouts, and major workflow changes.
  • Contribute to product documentation and help build clarity around complex or undocumented systems.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience across Product Management, Product Specialist, Customer Success, Business Analysis, or B2B SaaS roles.
  • Strong experience writing functional specifications, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working directly with software engineering teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of backlog management, defect prioritisation, sprint planning, and release validation.
  • Ability to understand complex software workflows and translate them into structured requirements.
  • Experience gathering product feedback from customers and converting it into actionable improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working with existing or poorly documented products and independently discovering how workflows function.
  • Experience with Jira or similar product and project management tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with B2B SaaS or multi-tenant enterprise platforms.
  • Experience in HR Tech, ATS, Recruitment Technology, CRM, ERP, or workflow-heavy SaaS products.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and large user groups.
  • Exposure to customer onboarding, product adoption, training, or customer success.
  • Experience with reporting, permissions, workflow configuration, licensing, billing, or enterprise administration features.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted product development and prototyping tools.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6–12 months, you will be expected to:

  • Independently own modules or feature areas.
  • Produce clear and implementation-ready product requirements.
  • Reduce ambiguity between business requirements and engineering execution.
  • Improve prioritisation of bugs, enhancements, and feature work.
  • Identify product gaps through customer insight and competitive analysis.
  • Successfully support features from discovery through release.
  • Build strong working relationships across Engineering, Customer Success, and business stakeholders.

Why This Role Is a Strong Fit

This role is designed for a product professional who has developed a deep understanding of software by working closely with both customers and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate understands what users actually struggle with, can investigate how a product currently works, and can turn those insights into structured requirements that engineering teams can build.
