ADAS/AD HiL Test Engineer

This contract position is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, and focuses on testing and validation for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) environments. The role is ideal for engineers with hands-on experience in embedded software, test environment setup, and automotive communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and debug test environments for ADAS/AD HiL systems.
• Utilize dSPACE tool chain, IPG CARMAKER, and related products for test execution.
• Develop and execute automated tests using HiL simulators (dSPACE/Vector, IPG, MATLAB, C, C++, CUDA, etc.).
• Perform verification and validation of system-level testing for automotive products, with a focus on active safety product lines.
• Test and validate communication protocols including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
• Conduct serial communication physical layer testing (Ethernet/CAN/LIN/FlexRay).
• Support process compliance activities, such as A-SPICE.
• Utilize requirements management tools such as Polarion.
• Apply knowledge of functional safety standards and testing procedures.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in embedded software.
• Hands-on experience with dSPACE tool chain and IPG CARMAKER.
• Proficiency in test environment setup and debugging.
• Experience with communication protocols: CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet.
• Familiarity with automated test equipment frameworks and HiL simulators (dSPACE/Vector, IPG, MATLAB, C, C++, CUDA).
• Education: Any degree.
• Preferred: Experience in achieving A-SPICE process compliance.
• Preferred: Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Experience with RTOSes such as QNX or VxWorks.
• Preferred: Experience with QEMU or other commercial emulation environments.
• Preferred: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: Experience with driving simulators like CARLA.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Linux/VxWorks, test development on SW container interfaces, Ethernet TCP-IP/UDP, QEMU-Docker environments.
• Preferred: Experience in Level 1/2 vECU development and SoA/SOME-IP architecture testing.
• Preferred: Experience in the ADAS automotive domain.
• Preferred: Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion).
• Preferred: Know-how on functional safety standards and testing.
