This role is part of the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Services engagement, supporting enterprise-wide vulnerability remediation and system hardening initiatives across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The successful candidate will ensure timely patching, secure baseline compliance, and continuous improvement of the security posture, aligned with organizational policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Patch Management & Vulnerability Remediation: Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to plan, schedule, and execute monthly patching cycles for Red Hat servers.
- Secure Baseline Configuration & OS Hardening: Perform secure baseline configuration assessments for Red Hat servers to identify deviations from established standards.
- Compliance, Governance & Reporting: Maintain audit-ready documentation for patching activities, configuration changes, and remediation efforts.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure / Linux administration teams, Application owners, and Security and risk management teams.
- Continuous Improvement & Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through process improvements and automation.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration
- Expertise in patch management processes and tools (YUM/DNF, Satellite, Ansible)
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Nessus, Rapid7)
- Knowledge of OS hardening and security configuration standards (CIS benchmarks)
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and change management processes (ITIL)
