Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team at National Informatics Centre Services Inc-BWSSB. This role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and prepare detailed test plans.
• Design, develop, and execute:
• Test cases
• Test scenarios
• Test scripts
• Perform various types of testing, including:
• Functional testing
• System testing
• Regression testing
• Integration testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Manage defects by identifying, logging, and tracking them using defect tracking tools.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
• Re-test fixed issues and validate closures.
• Prepare defect summary and status reports.
• Validate business workflows and end-to-end application functionality.
• Perform data validation and report testing.
• Test role-based access and security features.
• Verify application performance and usability.
• Document and maintain:
• Test plans
• Test cases
• Test execution reports
• UAT documents
• Traceability matrix (RTM)
• Release notes and testing sign-off documents.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: B.Tech, B.E., MCA, MSc. (IT or CS), or MS in Software Systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and defect management.
• Proficient in preparing test documentation and reports.
