Role Summary
Own the creation of clear, concise, and accurate documentation that helps users, customers, and internal teams understand and use the product effectively. Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Customer Success to translate complex technical concepts into simple, structured content.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain product documentation: user guides, API docs, release notes, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding workflows.

• Convert technical inputs from engineering/product into clean and easy-to-follow documentation.

• Standardize documentation formats, templates, terminology, and style guides.

• Review product updates and ensure all docs stay accurate with every release.

• Collaborate with product and dev teams during feature development to understand requirements, flows, and edge cases.

• Explain workflows visually where needed (diagrams, flowcharts, screen-by-screen walkthroughs).

• Edit and rewrite content produced by internal teams for clarity and consistency.

• Maintain documentation repositories (Notion, Confluence, Git, or internal knowledge bases).

• Improve discoverability and usability of documentation?indexing, structuring, and tagging.

• Ensure documentation aligns with brand tone, compliance requirements, and product messaging.

Required Skills

• Strong command of written English; ability to simplify complex concepts.

• Ability to understand technical systems, APIs, integrations, workflows, and product logic.

• Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Notion, GitHub/GitLab wikis, Markdown, etc.).

• Experience creating diagrams using tools like Draw.io, Lucidchart, Miro, or Figma.

• Detail-oriented with strong information structuring skills.

• Comfortable interviewing engineers, PMs, and SMEs to gather information.

Good to Have

• Experience documenting SaaS or B2B products.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON data structures, authentication flows, and web technologies.

• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles to document user journeys better.

• Ability to write microcopy (tooltips, labels, empty states).

• Experience with version control or release-driven documentation workflows.
