Sr. Design Engineer - R&D

Domain proficiency: - Automotive with Product understanding knowledge.

Process proficiency: - Basic knowledge of the Manufacturing process.

Software proficiency: - CATIA V5 (Part Design, Generative Shape Design (GSD) & Drafting).

Design proficiency: - Modelling - Solid, Sheet metal, Plastic, GD&T & Stack up Analysis.

Core proficiency: -

• Strong knowledge of engineering and design principles
• Collaborating with engineering and design teams to develop accurate and precise drawings that meet project specifications and requirements.
• Reviewing and interpreting project documents, such as drawings and engineering specifications, to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.
• Good Knowledge of design of automotive systems including mechanical & electro-mechanical systems.
• Skills on Reverse Engineering & Benchmarking the product & concept.
• Concept Developing and designing the products and systems based on customer requirements and industry standards.
• Maintaining specifications, and drawings as per technical manuals.
• Conducting the feasibility and viability of the design ideas with the manufacturing team.
• Troubleshooting design-related issues and making necessary changes.
• Collaborating with Core departments to discuss the manufacturability of the product designs & risk assessments to be recorded.
• Maintaining Design change record till final design release.
