Senior Specialist, Enterprise Applications (Workday)
As a Workday HCM Senior Functional Consultant and HR Business Process Expert, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the Workday system. This includes implementation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of core modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Performance, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation. You will also oversee modules that may be adopted based on business development, including Benefits and US Payroll. Your role will involve close collaboration with Talent Teams and the Development team to ensure the system effectively supports global HR operations while driving digital transformation and process automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Talent team and other key stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
- Act as a domain expert in both Workday and HR business processes. Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of Workday HCM, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Performance, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation.
- Prepare detailed user stories to clearly define solution requirements and communicate them to the Integration team as needed.
- Provide training to Talent teams and support them through go-live and post-implementation phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Workday modules in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay updated with the latest Workday features and functionalities, particularly those related to Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, Performance Management, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation, and implement improvements as necessary.
- Advise the Talent team on Workday best practices and optimization strategies to enhance their business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Fluency in both English (written and spoken), with the ability to collaborate effectively with global talent and development teams.
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration and implementation experience, leading at least 2 full lifecycle Workday implementations, and experience with at least 3 HCM modules such as Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, Benefits, US Payroll, and Advanced Compensation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities, self-motivated professional with a continuous learning mindset and positive attitude, and ability to work independently and deliver quality results.
- Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and manage expectations.
- Capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while adapting to evolving business needs.
Work Arrangements
- Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
- Type: Full-Time
- Flexibility to work occasional shift schedules (up to 20% of time) during critical project phases or system go-live periods.
