Mechanical Design Engineer - Autodesk Inventor

We are seeking a skilled Ducting Designer with experience in Autodesk Inventor to create and modify 3D ducting models and fabrication drawings for industrial projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to ensure that designs meet project requirements, quality standards, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D ducting models using Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare detailed fabrication and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Create duct layouts, sections, supports, and assembly drawings.
• Review project specifications, sketches, and engineering inputs.
• Coordinate with Mechanical and Structural Engineers for design integration.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Revise drawings based on review comments and project changes.
• Maintain drawing quality, accuracy, and document control procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling and detailing.
• Good understanding of industrial ducting systems, sheet metal design, and fabrication practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and drawing practices.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in power, industrial, or process plant projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Vault/PDM systems is an added advantage.
