Lab Technician

We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician with experience in soldering, troubleshooting, and maintaining lab instruments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PCB and SMD board rework, as well as proficiency in using various lab equipment. This is a contract position based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Soldering and desoldering of PCB boards and SMD boards rework packages (0402 and higher).
• Perform troubleshooting of assembled boards.
• Handle equipment such as oscilloscopes, thermal imagers, power meters, and power supplies.
• Assist in lab maintenance and storeroom inventory management.
• Coordinate for instrument repairs and service.
• Assist in preparing setups for events like Devcon, Electronica, and roadshows.
• Maintain lab instruments and perform calibration of instruments.
• Procure components and manage purchasing, including creating components BOM.
• Check components inventory and maintain stock.
• Load or program software using Renesas flash programming tool for Renesas MCUs (E1 Emulator).
• Test the board after software loading as per requirements.
• Create ORCAD schematics parts.

Requirements

• Experience as a Lab Technician with a focus on PCB and SMD board work.
• Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and thermal imagers.
• Knowledge of software loading and programming for Renesas MCUs.
• Familiarity with ORCAD for schematic creation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and procurement processes.
