HR Manager/Lead Shared Services
We are seeking an experienced Head of HR Shared Services to lead our HR operations in Chennai, India. This leadership role is pivotal in delivering a comprehensive employee lifecycle across our Global Capability Center (GCC) in both KSA and India. You will be responsible for building the HR Shared Services team from the ground up, defining service level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring operational excellence in HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build & Operate the HR Shared Services Tower: Establish and manage the HR Shared Services team, including hiring, onboarding, and enabling approximately 15 direct and indirect reports across various HR functions.
- Define the service catalogue, SLAs, turnaround times (TATs), RACI, and escalation matrix with stakeholders.
- Author standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and runbooks for each sub-function while driving continuous improvement.
- Partner with the GCC Head on annual operating plans, headcount plans, and workforce budgets.
- Talent Acquisition: Own the end-to-end hiring process for corporate and project roles, manage employer branding, and deliver against quarterly hiring plans.
- Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support: Oversee annual compensation reviews, benefits administration, and provide timely payroll inputs to the Finance team.
- HRIS, Analytics & Compliance: Implement and manage the HRIS platform, deliver people analytics, and ensure statutory compliance.
- Employee Relations, Travel & Engagement: Build grievance redressal frameworks, manage travel logistics, and drive employee engagement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary HR interface to the Group CHRO and KSA HR teams, and represent the GCC in HR audits and governance forums.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate; MBA (HR) / PGDM from a reputed institution.
- Experience: 12?18 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years managing an HR shared services or HR operations tower in a GCC, captive, or BPO-HRO environment.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Indian labor law, particularly in Tamil Nadu; hands-on experience with enterprise HRIS (Workday, SuccessFactors, Darwinbox, or equivalent); demonstrated experience in scaling HR functions.
- Preferred: Experience in a GCC setup for a Middle East/Saudi parent organization; exposure to engineering, EPC, oil & gas, or construction talent pools; familiarity with Tamil Nadu GCC Policy 2023.
