FPGA and Firmware Developer

We are seeking an experienced FPGA & Firmware Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in FPGA design, embedded firmware development, and hardware-software integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing FPGA-based solutions and embedded firmware for high-performance electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify FPGA logic using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
• Develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers, processors, and FPGA-based systems.
• Perform FPGA simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and hardware debugging.
• Develop and maintain device drivers, communication protocols, and low-level software.
• Integrate FPGA designs with embedded processors and peripheral interfaces.
• Work on high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, SPI, I2C, UART, and USB.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct board bring-up, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.
• Create design documentation, test plans, and technical reports.
• Support product development from concept through production and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in FPGA development and embedded firmware engineering.
• Strong expertise in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with FPGA platforms such as Xilinx, AMD/Xilinx Vivado, Intel/Altera Quartus, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ programming.
• Experience with RTOS, bare-metal firmware development, and debugging tools.
• Strong understanding of digital design concepts, timing closure, clock domain crossing, and signal integrity.
• Experience with communication protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, PCIe, and USB.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers, and lab equipment.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SoC FPGA platforms (Zynq, MPSoC, Intel SoC FPGA).
• Knowledge of DSP, image processing, video processing, or AI acceleration on FPGA.
• Experience with Linux device drivers and embedded Linux environments.
• Exposure to MATLAB, Python, or scripting for automation and testing.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, telecom, automotive, industrial automation, or semiconductor domains.
