Embedded Senior Software Developer/Architect

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Senior Software Developer/Architect to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded system development, with expertise in designing, developing, and debugging software for embedded systems on RTOS/Linux-based platforms. This is a contract position that requires a commitment to excellence in software performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug software for embedded systems, focusing on hardware interfaces.
• Work on low-level drivers and middleware integration.
• Manage hardware-software interaction, boot sequence, and device initialization.
• Analyze system logs and debug issues related to memory, performance, and boot failures as well as hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).
• Support system bring-up, integration, and validation activities.
• Assist the Knowledge Base (KB) System Architect in defining system architecture and high-level design.
• Develop and maintain architecture and design diagrams using UML, including class diagrams, sequence diagrams, component diagrams, and deployment diagrams.
• Follow and enforce Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices across all phases: requirement analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing and validation, release, and maintenance.
• Ensure proper documentation and version control throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and quality audits.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

• 6-11 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems and hardware interfaces.
• Proficiency in RTOS/Linux-based platforms.
• Experience with UML for architecture and design documentation.
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices.
