Database Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer with a strong background in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of hands-on experience in database administration and development. This role involves managing database objects, generating reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of database systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Perform export/import operations, database creation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Administer and create all database objects and users upon request from the application development team.
- Create basic SQL database reports on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis as per RFP and distribute them to respective stakeholders.
- Follow processes for change control, manage problems, incidents, and service calls using the provided tools.
- Monitor Database, OS, Network, and Database processes regularly and implement necessary measures to rectify issues.
- Experience with RMAN and restore procedures.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience as a Database Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with database administration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to create and manage database objects and users.
- Proficient in generating SQL reports.
- Familiarity with change control processes and incident management.
