Job Title: Data Steward
Within the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) framework, the Data Steward will act as the operational anchor ensuring data readiness, high quality, and strict compliance across our priority commercial and analytics portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the adoption and day-to-day execution of the data governance framework across designated business units.
- Embed DCAM principles into standard operational workflows, focusing specifically on metadata management, data lineage, data cataloging, and reference data control.
- Profiling complex datasets to track baseline data quality dimensions.
- Document data quality anomalies, identify root causes within data pipelines, and coordinate remediation plans.
- Map downstream/upstream data flows to ensure transparency and trust in critical data products.
- Partner with business units to document clear data sources, definitions, usage rules, and privacy constraints.
- Coordinate with privacy and security teams to verify that commercial datasets adhere to required cross-border constraints (e.g., GDPR, patient data anonymization protocols).
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of solid corporate experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Data Operations.
- Hands-on experience using data intelligence platforms like Collibra, Informatica Axon, or Alation to manage glossaries and data policies.
- Intermediate level of SQL skills.
- Familiarity with foundational Master Data Management (MDM) setups (e.g., Reltio, Informatica MDM, or SAP MDG) to handle Golden Records and matching logic.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of EDM architecture and DCAM capability maturity assessments.
- Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate across highly matrixed global teams, and gently influence business units toward standard data behaviors.
- Ability to generate clear data quality scorecards, process mapping docs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
