Control Automation Engineer / Analyst
We are seeking a skilled Control Automation Engineer / Analyst to design, develop, and maintain automated business controls and workflow solutions across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation technologies, data analysis, workflow orchestration, and reporting tools to streamline operational controls and reduce manual effort. This role focuses on automating validations, approvals, monitoring, reconciliations, and reporting processes using platforms such as Appian, Xceptor, Tableau, SAS, SQL, and Python. The candidate will work closely with business, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams to strengthen governance frameworks, improve process efficiency, and ensure operational accuracy through scalable automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated business control and workflow solutions.
- Build automation processes for validations, approvals, reconciliations, monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Develop workflow applications and process automation solutions using Appian and Xceptor platforms.
- Create dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions using Tableau and SAS.
- Write complex SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, automation, and analysis.
- Automate operational risk and compliance controls to improve process governance and audit readiness.
- Monitor automated workflows and ensure timely issue detection, escalation, and resolution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure automation solutions align with enterprise governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements.
- Prepare technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams and participate in design and architecture discussions.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in Control Automation, Workflow Automation, Business Process Automation, or related technology roles.
- Hands-on experience with Appian and/or Xceptor platforms.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python scripting.
- Experience with Tableau and SAS for reporting, analytics, and dashboard development.
- Knowledge of workflow automation, business controls, validations, and operational monitoring processes.
- Experience in process optimization and automation within enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting concepts.
- Familiarity with APIs, data integration, and enterprise application connectivity.
- Understanding of governance, compliance, risk management, and operational control frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
