Civil & Structural Design Engineers
We are seeking experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineers with 3 to 7 years of relevant design experience in Overhead Transmission Line projects of 132kV and above. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design of transmission line towers, poles, foundations, and ancillary structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of transmission line towers (lattice, monopoles), poles, foundations, and ancillary structures.
- Carry out load calculations including wind, broken wire, ice, seismic, and construction loads.
- Develop tower and pole families for various voltage levels (132kV & above).
- Design foundations for different soil conditions including pile, pad & chimney, raft, and rock foundations.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards like ANSI, IEC, IEEE, and Saudi Utility requirements.
- Use industry-standard tools such as PLS?Tower, PLS?Pole, STAAD, SAP2000, or equivalent structural analysis software.
- Prepare and review general arrangement & detailed drawings, construction drawings, and bar bending schedules.
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for Transmission Line Works and civil works.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary design, survey, and construction teams.
- Attend technical meetings with clients and consultants when required to ensure approval.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and project specifications while supporting value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- 3 to 7 years of relevant design experience in Overhead Transmission Line projects of 132kV & above.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD, SAFE, SAP2000, or similar structural software.
- MS Excel for design calculations.
