Embedded Linux Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer with strong expertise in C programming, Linux Embedded Systems, Yocto Project, and Linux Device Driver Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining embedded Linux software stacks, device drivers, and Yocto-based distributions for ARM/RISC-V platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications using C/Embedded C.
Design, develop, and debug Linux device drivers (Character, Platform, I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART, etc.).
Customize and maintain Yocto Project builds, including BitBake recipes, custom layers, and image generation.
Configure and customize Linux kernel, bootloader, and root filesystem.
Develop and integrate kernel modules and user-space applications.
Debug embedded Linux systems using serial console, GDB, JTAG, and kernel logs.
Work closely with hardware teams for board-level integration and peripheral enablement.
Optimize system performance, memory usage, and boot time.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and software documentation.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in C/Embedded C.
Good understanding of Linux internals and embedded Linux development.
Hands-on experience with Linux Device Driver Development.
Experience with Yocto Project, including BitBake recipes, custom layers, and image generation.
Familiarity with Linux kernel configuration and module development.
Experience with cross-compilation and build systems.
Proficiency with Git and Linux development tools.
