Business Analyst ? Master Data Management (MDM)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst ? Master Data Management (MDM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data governance, data quality, and MDM implementations. They will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data stewards to analyze business requirements, optimize data processes, and ensure seamless integration of MDM solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document MDM requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance policies.
- Analyze existing master data processes and propose enhancements to improve data integrity, consistency, and governance.
- Work closely with technical teams to support the implementation of MDM solutions, including system integration, data mapping, and transformation rules.
- Define and document business rules, data models, workflows, and data stewardship processes for MDM.
- Support data profiling, cleansing, and validation efforts to enhance data quality.
- Facilitate workshops, conduct gap analyses, and recommend best practices for MDM implementation.
- Monitor data governance policies and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop reports and dashboards to track data quality metrics and performance of MDM initiatives.
- Provide training and support to business users and data stewards on MDM tools and processes.
- Support and potentially lead projects within the organization, focusing on tasks of limited complexity, including the development of small to medium-sized system components.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Master Data Management (MDM) or Data Governance.
- Strong knowledge of MDM concepts, data quality, data governance, and data stewardship.
- Hands-on experience with MDM tools such as Reltio, Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques to support data profiling and validation.
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies and using tools like JIRA or Rally.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business and IT teams to drive MDM initiatives.
- Strong understanding of healthcare or pharmaceutical MDM use cases (preferred but not mandatory).
