BIM Manager

The BIM Manager is responsible for leading the organization's Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy, implementation, and digital transformation initiatives across infrastructure and building projects. This role ensures integration of 3D/4D/5D BIM with ERP systems, project controls, cost management, and reporting frameworks, while driving ISO 19650 compliance and organizational digital maturity. The BIM Manager oversees BIM standards, workflows, automation, data governance, and stakeholder coordination to enhance project efficiency, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement BIM execution strategies aligned with ISO 19650 standards. Lead organization-wide digital transformation initiatives from pre-construction through post-construction phases.
  • Establish BIM standards, BEPs, LOD/LOI frameworks, and model governance protocols. Drive enterprise-level BIM adoption across multiple active projects.
  • Implement and manage 4D (time) and 5D (cost) simulations for planning and monitoring. Integrate BIM with ERP and project control systems for real-time reporting.
  • Develop cumulative progress tracking mechanisms using model-based data. Support delay analysis and cost forecasting using BIM-enabled insights.
  • Oversee model quality checks, clash detection, and QA/QC processes. Ensure coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, and infrastructure disciplines.
  • Standardize workflows for large-scale infrastructure and heavy civil projects.
  • Design and implement executive-level dashboards (e.g., Power BI) for progress monitoring, cost performance, drawing release tracking, and productivity metrics.
  • Deliver data-driven reports to support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Implement automation using tools such as Dynamo to improve modeling efficiency and data accuracy. Develop parametric models and formwork systems where applicable.
  • Research and evaluate emerging AEC technologies for potential adoption.
  • Collaborate with project managers, planning teams, cost engineers, and site teams to align BIM objectives.
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure adoption of digital workflows. Conduct BIM planning workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Lead and mentor BIM engineers and coordinators. Develop and deliver structured training programs (train-the-trainer approach). Build internal BIM capability and digital competency across the organization.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Experience: 8?12+ years of experience in BIM implementation across infrastructure or building projects.
  • BIM Integration: Strong experience in 3D/4D/5D BIM integration, ISO 19650 standards, clash detection & QA/QC, ERP-BIM integration, model-based cost and schedule management.
  • Technical Skills: Revit, Navisworks Manage, Dynamo, Power BI, Primavera / MS Project, ERP Integration, LOD/LOI Frameworks.
