BI Developer (Fusion Data Intelligence)
The BI Developer (Fusion Data Intelligence) is a crucial role within the Business Intelligence department, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support enterprise-wide analytics and data-driven decision-making. This position involves building scalable data models, integrating multiple data sources, enhancing the Fusion Data Intelligence platform, and creating interactive dashboards and reports that help stakeholders understand key operational, financial, and strategic performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- BI Development & Reporting: Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualization solutions within the Fusion Data Intelligence environment. Translate business needs into technical specifications and high-quality BI artifacts. Optimize report performance, usability, and data accuracy.
- Data Modeling & Engineering: Develop and maintain semantic data models, star schemas, and analytical datasets. Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various internal and external systems. Ensure data standards, data governance, and best practices are followed.
- Platform Enhancement (Fusion Data Intelligence): Enhance and support the Fusion Data Intelligence platform, contributing to new features, metrics, and data capabilities. Collaborate with platform engineers to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability. Implement automation and process efficiencies within the data intelligence ecosystem.
- Analysis & Insights: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and strategic improvements. Provide ad-hoc analysis and data insights to support business units such as operations, finance, sales, and leadership teams. Ensure insights are clearly communicated and actionable for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineering, data governance, IT, and business units. Gather requirements, validate outputs, and align BI solutions to business objectives. Conduct training and support sessions for business users on BI dashboards and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2?5 years of experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst.
- Strong proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and modeling large datasets.
- Experience with ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, and relational databases.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, normalization, DAX/MDX is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
