Job Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Analyst with strong experience in US pharmaceutical commercial analytics, specifically in Drug Distribution Data (DDD) and MMIT (Managed Markets Insight & Technology) datasets. The ideal candidate should possess strong SQL and data analysis skills and be capable of delivering actionable insights related to payer access, formulary coverage, distribution performance, and commercial effectiveness for pharmaceutical brands.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret DDD (Drug Distribution Data) to assess product distribution trends, channel performance, inventory movement, and shipment patterns.
Work extensively with MMIT data to evaluate formulary coverage, payer access, restrictions, covered lives, and reimbursement insights.
Develop and maintain SQL-based analytical datasets, reports, and dashboards for commercial and market access stakeholders.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across multiple pharmaceutical data sources.
Generate insights on payer dynamics, formulary changes, access barriers, and distribution performance.
Support ad-hoc analyses for brand teams, market access teams, and commercial leadership.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
Prepare presentations and insight summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to process improvements, automation, and standardization of recurring analytics.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
3?5 years of experience in US Pharma Commercial Analytics.
Hands-on experience with DDD (Drug Distribution Data).
Hands-on experience with MMIT (Managed Markets Insight & Technology) datasets.
Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, data validation).
Experience working with large pharmaceutical commercial datasets.
Good understanding of payer, formulary, reimbursement, and market access concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to IQVIA commercial datasets.
Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
Basic knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation.
Understanding of specialty pharma or oncology market access analytics.
Domain Knowledge
The candidate should have a good understanding of:
Managed care and payer landscape in the US
Formulary status and coverage
Prior authorization (PA), step therapy (ST), quantity limits (QL)
