Senior Scala Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scala Developer with a strong background in Scala application development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Play Framework, Apache Spark, and Cassandra, and will be adept at building scalable backend applications and developing distributed data processing solutions in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Scala-based applications and services.
• Build and support RESTful APIs using the Play Framework.
• Develop scalable data processing and analytics solutions using Apache Spark.
• Work with large datasets and optimize application performance.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, and solution development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and data-processing issues.
• Support testing, deployment, and production activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Scala.
• Experience developing applications using the Play Framework.
• Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming concepts.
• Experience in REST API development and microservices architecture.
• Strong SQL and database skills.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
