QA Specialist
The Software QA Specialist supports the Affordability team within IQVIA?s Patient Access & Support Services (PASS) group, contributing to the quality and reliability of software solutions that support claims processing, auditing systems, and lifecycle programs across global QA business units. This role emphasizes strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure software products and systems meet organizational quality standards and end-user requirements.
- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements for completeness and testability.
- Design, write, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts using prescribed standards and formats.
- Perform manual and automated testing across UI, API, backend, database, website, and mobile applications.
- Document expected and unexpected results, defects, and validations, and support defect resolution activities.
- Analyze test results and support the review of test plans and execution documentation.
- Define and maintain master test plans that document overall testing strategy.
- Establish and maintain automated test solutions and execute complex test scenarios as needed.
- Perform workflow analysis and recommend quality and process improvements.
- Participate in reviews and evaluations of QA tools, methodologies, and services for applicability to business needs.
- Collaborate closely with business partners and stakeholders to maintain a strong focus on quality throughout delivery.
- Perform additional reasonable tasks as agreed with the line manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2?4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including manual, automation, and database testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with test planning, execution, documentation, and reviews.
- Working knowledge of test automation tools.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL, or SQL Server preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Spira preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a strong team orientation.
